A true Muslim
عليه وسلم المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده عن عامر قال قال النبي صلى الله’
والمهاجر من هجر ما نهى الله عنه
Narrated from Aamir (R): He said .Prophed (S) Said:
"The Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe. The emigrant is one who abandons those things God has prohibited" (Al-Bukhari).
True Muslims are people of safety and belief as the word Islam (peace) itself indicates. They can be trusted in every field of life. As same as their faith is clean their whole parts of body, action and words are hygiene from the sin. They will never engage in such activities which are harmful to others but spend their valuable time in devotion and social services. Their every transaction should have only one purpose; to seek Allah’s pleasure.
If so, there is a question. Why were the only hand and tongue mentioned in this Hadith? ......Of course there are many subtle points related to this choice. In a way, A person can harm someone in two ways: either directly or indirectly. The hand is used for direct attack and the tongue attacks indirectly through gossip and ridicule. In another way, everybody use these two limbs more than others .So by saying major parts prophet pointed out whole other minor parts also.
The definition of Islam is to bow down to the will of Allah and to perform the actions for the satisfaction of Allah. Its true followers are all peace-loving people. A true Muslim hates violence and extremism. His do’s and don’ts will be for the sake of Allah’s pleasure. Man himself and whatever he possesses, and whatever lies within him, all belong to Allah. Animals, trees, forests, sand, and water …….. all these are from Him. Therefore whatever belongs to Allah must be reserved only for Him.
The personality of a true Muslim itself can attract others to Islam. He behaves with others in a polite and lovely way. His family, friends and others are on well feelings about him. His hands stretch to others not to hurt but to help and he opens his mouth not to ridicule but to direct only.
The brightness of Imaan enlights a Muslim’s action and promotes justice, peace, and freedom throughout his life. So when he meets his friend he greets with Salam (peace) and deals with others in a dutiful manner. He never thinks of terrorism and brutality but peace and tranquility. As the holly Qura’n says: ‘you are the best group of people evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong’.
Today family problems, quarrel between the spouses, frictions between parents and children and fighting between brothers and sisters and other relatives are common stories everywhere. But a true Muslim fights against anger, pride, jealousy and a lot of other devils which lead him to this kind of menace and make him far from the almighty. Any part of his body never is a cause for chaos and violence. He keeps the moral values of peace and love in Family, friendship, relation and society equally. He is submissive to comply with commitments with others.
Islam is a way of life and it means to submit the whole life to Allah. The cornerstone of the Islamic teaching is to keep the God pleased about His slave. A true Muslim doesn’t mind his relatives, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and all the rest of humanity in avoiding the things which are unacceptable in Islam. Because the submission is incomplete if anybody doesn’t execute what the God wants really, and doesn’t pass up what he abhors.
A Muslim does the good for others .if anybody meets him with awful matters he reacts to him with blessings.
If a perfect Muslim loves anybody it is for the sake of Allah alone and if he hates somebody it will be for the sake of Allah alone; and whatever he gives for the sake of Allah alone; and whatever he withholds, withhold for the sake of Allah alone. His likes and dislikes are totally constructed on the wishes of Allah. He believes that the life and whole it’s sweetness are the gift of God, so it can be avoided for Him, because he gives and he himself prevents. Therefore His motive is nothing but to gain the pleasure of Allah.
